THE PROBLEM

Every year, over 194 billion plastic medicine bottles are made. About 90% of them end up in our oceans, landfills and air supply. These plastics eventually break down into microplastics, where they end up in our soil, drinking water and eventually our food. Scientists estimate that we ingest anywhere from dozens to more than 1000,000 microplastic particles each day. That adds up to about 1 credit card size of plastic each year.

“Plastic is a healthcare problem. For our planet, and for you.”

Plastic waste in our landfills and oceans is a massive contributor to climate change. It destroys the ecosystems that work to regulate carbon.
